Spelunky Classic Gets A Two-Player Co-Op Mode

Spelunky Classic, the original version released as a freeware in 2008 can now be played cooperatively online thanks to a new mod called Spelunky SD from Yellow Afterlife. In addition to the new added online co-op mode, the mod will also include a number of fixes and improvements to the original game as sound effects fading when off-screen and enemies flashing on and off.

An enhanced version of Spelunky Classic was released for Xbox Live Arcade on July 4, 2012. The enhanced version was also released on Steam on August 8, 2013 and PlayStation 3 and PS Vita on August 27, 2014 in North America and August 28, 2013 in Europe.
