Nintendo Switch owners have had a lot to look forward to this year with titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, ARMS, and many more, with this summer being the summer of the squids thanks to the upcoming release of Splatoon 2 next week.

Nintendo has released a new TV spot for Splatoon 2 that showcases the game's environments and worlds, along with a bunch of gameplay of the title in action. As the title's name implies, "the world is your playground" in Splatoon 2, and highlights how the Nintendo Switch's portability will let you battle on the go against friends, anywhere.

A sequel to the Wii U hit, Splatoon 2 will once again feature the third-person shooting mechanics of the original title while expanding even further on the game's signature theme of splatting paint over the battlefield, including new weapons, characters, and much more. The most recent Nintendo Direct for the title highlighted many of these new features coming to the game, including a look at some of the new faces you'll meet in the game's multiplayer and single-player modes.

Splatoon 2 will release for Nintendo Switch on July 21st, 2017 - in the meantime, you can check out the game's brand new TV spot below:
