Splinter Cell Film Adaptation Hires Director Doug Liman, Previously of The Bourne Identity

Splinter Cell is ramping up for a big 2015 as a feature-film adaptation of the popular stealth series is set to release next year, with actor Tom Hardy set to play Sam Fischer and the film finding its director.

Reports have detailed that final negotiations have been reached with Doug Liman to direct the upcoming Splinter Cell, with Liman having previously directed films such as The Bourne Identity and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. As previous confirmed, actor Tom Hardy (InceptionWarrior) will be playing the lead role in the film.

Splinter Cell is expected to release in theaters in 2015 – stay tuned for more details on the upcoming movie.
