SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake puts the world's most famous sponge in various dimensions for him to explore, battle enemies, save his friends, and bring Bikini Bottom back to normal. Each one of these dimensions is different from the last one, with environments and characters in it varying in style and theme.

From a dimension themed after Primitive Bikini Bottom to a medieval-themed dimension or one themed as the wild west, every aspect of each reality changes from one another, including SpongeBob himself. Whether he is wearing his classic square pants or his iconic Goofy Goober hat from The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, here are the best outfits available in the game, ranked.

10 Employee Of The Month

Such a subtle change in SpongeBob's outfit can make a big difference. First worn on the very first episodes of the show, SpongeBob became his happiest version once he had the chance to fulfill his destiny: being a chef in the Krusty Krab.

This iconic outfit can be unlocked once the Krusty Krab is returned to Bikini Bottom after advancing in the main campaign. Even though it is a fairly iconic outfit worn by the best burger flipper under the sea, it actually is a very subtle and small change in SpongeBob's normal outfit, but an appreciated one.

9 Goofy Goober

One of the most memorable chapters in SpongeBob's story has to be The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, which also featured a tie-in game. The movie became proof that the team behind the SpongeBob show had the talent and potential of capturing, entertaining, and moving an audience with a feature-length film.

With incredibly funny jokes all around, amusing scenes, and the iconic animation choices SpongeBob is known for, this outfit is a reminder of the incredible potential the team has and what they can achieve. Even though the outfit change is still subtle and not playing with the dimensions element of the game, it serves as an icon of one of the best projects SpongeBob has had.

8 Cowboy

The very first drastic change to SpongeBob's appearance. In order to fit in the wild west dimension, SpongeBob must feel like he belongs in the specific atmosphere. And not only does he do so, but he also succeeds fashionably. Nailing the cowboy attire from the pointy hat to the spurs on the boots like nobody's business.

With no challenge whatsoever to unlock, it is a very nice and smooth introduction to the range of outfits the players can expect from the game. On the other hand, the outfit itself lacks the wackiness and iconic element of the later-game outfits available.

7 KarateBob

One of SpongeBob's bigger passions and most exciting dreams comes to reality with this outfit — the chance to properly do Karate. Not only does SpongeBob finally start looking like an action star with this outfit, but the ability he gains with this level also makes him feel like one.

Jumping from platform to platform, kicking enemies, and breaking objects like a maniac, Bikini Bottom's most likable sponge becomes a squared menace. Taking out bad guys doesn't feel as powerful as it does while wearing this outfit, but the outfit doesn't get to be quite quirky as the rest of the outfits allow SpongeBob to become.

6 RoboBob SteelPants

There is only one way to make a karate-themed outfit for SpongeBob better, and it is making it the karate-themed robot from the spiritual prequel of this game, SpongeBob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom. Not only is this outfit changing things up for SpongeBob from its very core, but it also serves as an Easter Egg for what most consider the best SpongeBob game.

In Battle For Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob has to fight against a giant robotic version of himself in what has become for most fans one of the greatest boss fights in a platformer. This outfit is a much-needed callback to the game that built the bases on which this game stands, although this appearance is a tough one to look at.

5 Hippie

SpongeBob has never looked as suave as he does in this outfit. The long hair, sunglasses, and even a mustache — such a relaxed fit can only bring peace and love to the depths of the sea.

RELATED: Best Games Based On A Cartoon SeriesThis outfit shines and stands out from the rest because of its originality, making SpongeBob almost look like a completely different character, yet it stems from the wackiness and unexpected nature the show has always exemplified. On the other hand, it lacks the ability to tug on the nostalgic strings from iconic and memorable episodes from the show, like some other outfits available.

4 PrimitiveBob

One of the most bizarre and weirdest episodes in the show features a time-traveling Squidward that visits the future, travels to the past, and battles with existentialism. For most fans, it is the most interesting episode in SpongeBob's history, featuring prehistoric versions of SpongeBob and Patrick.

The scariest, yet still adorable, version of SpongeBob there is. Nailing the sharp and pointy teeth, long arms, and family-friendly approved — and necessary — loincloth. Best utilized at the prehistoric level, the immersion of a new dimension comes to life. It would be the best outfit for some, but it is part of the paid DLC.

3 Lifeguard

Definitely the most appropriate outfit for being under the sea: sunglasses, a bathing suit, and the obligatory smear of sunscreen to become a lifeguard. SpongeBob looks his best and most burn-protected in this suit. Worn for the first time to visit Bikini Bottom's beach under the sea, The Goo Lagoon.

RELATED: Most Memorable Platformer CharactersAn iconic outfit for one of the most special locations in Bikini Bottom, host of one of the best episodes in the show for most fans — including Tom Kenny himself. From Ripped Pants to SpongeGuard on Duty, this outfit is a clear symbol for the best episodes in the show.

2 Band Geeks Uniform

One of the most iconic outfits SpongeBob has ever worn in one of the most iconic scenes in the whole show. Influential, memorable, and musically perfect to the point it was featured in a Super Bowl, the musical performance by SpongeBob and his friends of a lifetime. This outfit is a reminder of the impact SpongeBob had on multiple generations of kids.

Fans all around the world know the lyrics to the song and will forever remember the sweet victory that was watching this episode. On the other hand, it is blocked behind a paywall of $10 USD, which isn't always an option for everyone.

1 The Quickster

One of the most loved aspects of the series was without a doubt the superhero lore behind characters like Mermaid-Man and Barnacle-Boy, and with this outfit, SpongeBob finally has the chance to become super. Originally appearing in one of the highest-rated episodes in the show, SpongeBob wears this iconic outfit as he embodies The Quickster and takes down an evil Barnacle-Boy.

This outfit gives the game a completely different vibe, with SpongeBob role-playing as a superhero — spinning, kicking, jumping, and running feel better and more powerful, just super. This outfit is the perfect reminder of the influential and iconic memories the show has created, accomplished by the incredible writing and consistency in it. Unlocked after obtaining the maximum number of collectibles in the game, it is the most rewarding and satisfying achievement in the game.
