From the dust settling around EA’s recent lawsuit over monopolizing sports games, a new contender emerges: Sony Computer Entertainment has just released a trailer for its upcoming title, Sports Champions 2. The game has a timely announcement, considering the Olympics are presently being held, and the decision to release a trailer now is a fair marketing move on SOE’s part.
Sports Champions 2 is a light-hearted take on the Olympics that will allow players to compete without, well, training or being spectacular in any way. The game will feature a wide variety of sports, ranging from archery to tennis to boxing and more. Interested? Check out the video below for a peek at the gameplay.
Sports Champions 2 will be available this fall, as its tagline states: “Watch champions this summer. Become one this fall.”
