Spy vs Spy Sneaks Into the #1 Spot On The Apple Store

on August 5, 2012 4:36 PM

Spy vs Spy follows the classic comic antics of two spies, white and black and their tireless efforts to sabotage one another. Who knew it would make such a popular app though? The original game was released in 1984 to the Commodore 64, Atari, and Apple II computers. This iPhone/iPad remake contains all of the original levels, plus many new ones.

The game has already reached the top paid app spot in several countries including the United States, Cananda,¬†Australia¬†and New Zealand. I guess it just goes to show that nostalgia sells. While we don’t have exact sales figures, reaching the top spot means that it’s likely selling around 50,000 copies a day or more. Not bad for a mobile app, it’s on sale for 99 cents for a little while longer too.
