Square Enix and developer ANKAMA have announced a release date for upcoming tactical MMORPG WAKFU. The game will launch worldwide in February 2012 and will be available for free from its official website. While a sizable amount of gameplay and content will be presented at no cost, a monthly subscription fee of $6.00 will net players a premium account granting them access to the entire WAKFU world.

WAKFU centers around a world drawn in vibrant anime styles and includes fourteen unique and customizable character classes for players to choose from. The game features turn-based combat, quests, and political and ecological systems that are constantly evolving based on players' involvement.
