We've barely heard more than a whisper from Square Enix regarding their highly anticipated HD remaster of the PlayStation 2 classic Final Fantasy X since it was announced way back in 2011. A fan asked Square Enix Europe via Twitter if and when we would see anything of the hyped PlayStation Vita exclusive. SE Europe responded to the tweet saying: "The world will get answers soon, we promise.". In the world of video games, "soon" isn't really worth getting your hopes up.

Earlier this week Squenix Europe was asked about the status of Final Fantasy Versus XIII, the ambitious project that fans have been becoming increasingly worried about. To the query Square Enix responded: "Still currently in development. No dates to announce at this time, but we'll keep you informed. Promise." Confirmation that Versus XIII hasn't been canned altogether is actually sufficient news for me.

I haven't picked up a Vita yet, but playing Final Fantasy X in HD would definitely be a huge incentive for me to do so. Let's hope that we get some more relevant news on both of these titles in the coming months.
