Square Enix President Challenges PlayStation Japan President at Overwatch Battle; Sony Responds

Back in February, Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan and Asia President Atsushi Morita challenged his Square Enix counterpart Yosuke Matsuda at a battle for supremacy at Call of Duty Black Ops III. The challenge backfired, and the match ended with Square Enix’s team led by Matsuda-san pretty much obliterating the Sony team led by Morita-san. Now, they are at it again.

Square Enix published today a video challenge by Matsuda-san, in which he challenged Morita-san to a rematch, this time playing Overwatch.

The Square Enix vs Sony Interactive Entertainment battle will be held on July 22nd, and Matsuda-san certainly looks quite confident in his skills.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see if the rematch will end with another landslide victory for Square Enix, or if Sony will somehow manage to turn the tables. The match will be broadcasted on Nico Nico.

Below you can check out the video. I’m not sure if Matsuda-san’s Tracer cosplay can really be considered convincing…

Update: Sony fired back with its own response video. Apparently Morita-san feels that he needs some training for the challenge. You can also see that one at the bottom of the post.
