Today Square Enix published a preview of the Beastman Strongholds that players of Final Fantasy XIV will be able to raid and pillage with patch 1.19. You can show the rather impressive trailer past the cut.

In addition to that the producer Naoki Yoshida published a brief but welcome producer’s letter promising more inventory slots: To be precise 100 more slots on each character and 50 more on each retainer, for a total of a lovely increase of 200 slots per player.

According to Yoshida the team is aiming for a September 30 release for the patch, but they’re cutting it close to the deadline, so it might get pushed back a few days if things don’t go as expected.
