Square Enix Trademarks a Large Bunch of its Manga Titles for Video Games

on February 28, 2015 3:32 PM

Square Enix has a rich manga portfolio, and the company might be thinking to try and use all those perfectly good IP for games, as a string of trademark filings with the Japanese Patent and Trademark Office seems to indicate (some of the trademarks were registered with their Japanese titles, below you can see the English titles for convenience’s sake).

It’ll be certainly interesting to see if those trademarks registrations, that were all filed for the games category, will result into actual games. Their genres, that aren’t generally action packed, so they’d certainly make for intriguing games.

As usual, we’ll have to wait and see.
