Square Enix Unveils new Final Fantasy XIV “Raid” Dungeons

on June 20, 2011 1:00 PM

Square Enix just released details about the two raid dungeons to be released in Final Fantasy XIV with patch 1.18. The definition of “raid” may actually mislead some players, as the two dungeons are not designed for large groups of players. The Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak will welcome four players from level 25 and upwards, while The Dzemael Darkhold is designed for eight players over level 45.

Both raids will last sixty minutes and will require the completion of prerequisite quests. The patch is supposed to be released in about two weeks, and will also include radical changes to the combat mechanics.
