Square Enix Unveils Schedule for Japan Expo

Square Enix is on a roll this weekend. Accompanying a media storm surrounding rumors of a re-release of Final Fantasy VII for Steam is a peek at the game developer’s schedule at the 2012 Japan Expo. The Expo will be held from July 5th to July 8th, and is hosted this year in the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center in France. As for the contents of the Expo, talks on Kingdom Hearts, the future of Final Fantasy XIV Online, and Agni’s Philosophy – Final Fantasy are scheduled on Square Enix’s official French site.

The schedule is as follows, translated by yours truly:

Square Enix & Nintendo Conference: “10th Anniversary of Kingdom Hearts

Shinji Hashimoto, executive producer, and Yoko Shimomura, composer of the series, will celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts series on Saturday, July 7th at 14:00 on the Video Games stage. Afterwards, they will host an autographing session in the Nintendo booth at 16:30.

Square Enix Conference: “The Future of Final Fantasy XIV Online

Naoki Yoshida, producer and game director, will present his vision for the future of Final Fantasy XIV Online on Saturday, July 7th at 15:00 on the Video Games stage.

He will then host an autographing session in room EQ55 (Hall 6) at 17:30.

Square Enix Presentation: “Agni’s Philosophy & Luminous”

Julien Merceron, director of technologies for Square Enix worldwide, will provide commentary for a demonstration on the techniques of Agni’s Philosophy – Final Fantasy, which have been realized by utilizing the next-generation technologies of Luminous. The talk will be held on Saturday, July 7th at 16:00 on the Video Games stage.
