We've heard a lot out of Square-Enix lately as far as releasing some PS1 classics on the PSN, mostly relating to their decision to go through with porting Final Fantasy IX over for digital consumption. What's after that, though? Fervent Square-Enix Members Japan tweeter Shinji Hashimoto has let loose that, after a recent poll in Japan, they will be releasing the PS1 classic RPG Threads of Fate next, after Final Fantasy IX. Keep in mind that Japan is receiving FFIX on May 20 and, while we know it is indeed coming to North America, we don't know exactly when.

I've personally never played Threads of Fate, but what better time than now, when we can receive it digitally via the PSN? Hopefully we'll see an English port of it on Sony's network sometime in the not-too-distant future. In the mean time, I think I'd rather get FFIX onto my PSP.
