Square Enix just announced that its free-to-play third-person-shooter Figureheads will be released in Japan on PS4, expanding from its original PC version, and today they released a new trailer.

The video introduces the world of the game, where robots named "2Foot" are made to fight in a competition called "BOTgame."

Incidentally, the titular "figureheads" are artificial intelligence units installed in the robots, they can be leveled up and customized in appearance and clothes. Most of them are also cute anime girls, because this is a Japanese game, after all.

The PS4 version will release in Japan on March 9th, and a special package featuring Xenogears crossover content is available for pre-order starting today on the Japanese PlayStation Store.

At the moment, there is no announcement about a western version of the game, that hasn't been yet localized for PC either.
