Stand-alone Bayonetta 2 Coming to Wii U for $29.99 in US

Just in time for Bayonetta’s Super Smash Bros. debut, Nintendo will be publishing a stand-alone Bayonetta 2 edition on February 19th for $29.99. Of course, the original print of Bayonetta 2 (released September 2014) was a package deal, including the original Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 for the prime price of $59.99. There is no indication whether the deal will be coming outside of North America.

Is this a good deal? Depends on who you ask and where you shop — while this is half off the full price of the original release, some retailers have a new copy anywhere from $38.97 (GameStop) to $105 (Amazon). If anything, this is a great way for Nintendo to drum up sales and attention to the Bayonetta DLC release for Super Smash Bros. in February 2016.
