Today Cloud Imperium Games released a video explaining some of the mechanics that will serve as the foundation of Star Citizen's upcoming persistent universe, basically the massively multiplayer online part of the game.

A panel formed by Game Director Chris Roberts, Global Head of Production Erin Roberts, Design Director Todd Papy and Persistent Universe Director Tony Zurovec went through questions from the game's subscribers talking about elements like environmental differences, landing on planets, what happens when you disconnect, the upcoming mission system, multi-crew interaction, farming, currency and distress/service beacons.

Star Citizen just received its Alpha 2.6 update, a batch of new screenshots, and a video explaining how alien languages are being created.
