Star Citizen’s First Single Player Gameplay Demo Shows Massive Starship, Is Absolutely Awesome

During CitizenCon 2015 in Manchester, Chris Roberts and Cloud Imperium Games introduced the star-spangled cast of the single player portion of Star Citizen, named Squadron 42, but that wasn’t all.

The developer also showcased the very first gameplay demo, that shows the beginning of the game, when the player gets transferred to the Idris-class frigate Stanton and is given a tour of the ship.

The video looked absolutely impressive, even if the hair and faces for characters weren’t final, and there were some elements that shown the work-in-progress nature of the demo.

Notably, the Idris frigate looks absolutely massive, and it’s even more impressive considering that it’ll be flyable by players in the persistent universe portion of the game.
