Way back in 2007, 20th Century Fox released its first attempt at a movie adaptation of the Hitman series starring Justified's Timothy Olyphant and achieving middling critical success (but surprisingly great box office results), with the film once again trying to overcome the dreaded video game movie curse.

With Fox International now preparing a follow-up film/reboot in the series, titled Agent 47, and losing its previous lead, actor Paul Walker (who tragically passed away in November 2013 from a car accident), the lead role was recast for the upcoming video game-film adaptation and also picked up a co-star, featuring actor Zachary Quinto.

Known for his roles on NBC's Heroes, FX's American Horror Story, and as playing Spock in the Star Trek reboot series, Quinto will be joining alongside the new lead actor playing Agent 47, Rupert Friend, in the film, following the events of the previous Hitman film in 2007.

Filming for Agent 47 will begin in March with Friend and Quinto in the lead roles, and being produced under Fox International with a currently unknown release date.
