Star Wars: Battlefront Devs: “AT-STs Are Fun As Hell to Play;” Give More Info on Levels and Troopers

Information on Star Wars: Battlefront are gradually trickling down thanks to developers keeping the channels of communication open with the fans, and today we got some new information and a tease:

Community Manager Mathew Everett teased the fun we’re going to have while piloting AT-ST walkers, also saying the same afterwards about missions.

He also gave more information on Reddit about the troopers we see in the Sullust artwork. Normally Magma Troopers wear red armor, but Everett explained why those wear the usual white:

These are unique Troopers only found on Sullust.

Lead Level Designer Dennis Brännvall also mentioned that the multiplayer maps won’t be just barren outdoor environments:

Producer Jesper Nielsen elaborated further on Reddit:

There’s also indoor sections on the planets.

Finally, Design Director Niklas Fegraeus teased a bit about one of the newer game modes:

While the tweet is a little vague, the hashtag seems to indicate that the thermal detonator might be the focus of the mode.

Of course this is just a guess, but for those unfamiliar with what a thermal detonator is, you can find a good description on the ever-useful Wookieepedia.
