Today publisher EA DICE announced some brand new details about the multiplayer beta for its upcoming game Star Wars Battlefront II.

During the course of the beta, players will be able to play Naboo: Theed in Galactic Assualt, which was previously shown off at E3 2017. In addition to that, players will also be able to pilot legendary Star Wars vehicles in Starfighter Assualt Battle. EA says that we will know more about this mode at Gamescom 2017, which takes place from August 22nd, 2017 to August 26th, 2017.

Finally, it was revealed that the beta will be open to the public from October 6th, 2017 through October 9th, 2017. If you pre-order the game, you'll get access to the beta two days earlier than everyone else, on October 4th, 2017.

Last month it was revealed that players who pre-order the game would also receive access to an Epic Lightsaber Mastery Star Card for Yoda, however details about what this does were not made available. Towards the end of June the crate system for the game was revealed, which allows you to earn random items by opening loot boxes, similar to those found in Overwatch or Call of Duty.

Star Wars Battlefront II is set to be released on November 17th, 2017, and will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
