Today Electronic Arts released a companion app and site for Star Wars: Battlefront, but it includes something definitely interesting. If you want to get a head start on your credits wallet to purchase equipment in the actual game when it'll launch on November 19th, you can by playing a miningame named Base Command.

Base Command is a fairly advanced and actually quite fun board/card game hybrid that lets you customize your deck, unlock new cards, and use them to defend your base from an Imperial assault. You can check out what it looks like in the gallery at the bottom of the post.

Every time you complete a mission, you earn credits depending on your performance (one, two or three stars), and those credits can then be used in the main game too purchase content.

Interestingly, the relationship goes both ways, as achievements in the main game also unlock new cards in Base Command.

This is definitely a good way to keep our fingers busy until November 19th. You can find the website here, or use the Android or iOS app.
