Star Wars: The Old Republic Battle of the Screenshots – Republic

on November 18, 2011 12:00 PM

Giuseppe and I have been playing the beta for Star Wars: The Old Republic the last couple days. While we felt this was too little time to do the game justice with a full preview of our time with each faction, we did want to shoot you something as the press embargo lifts. So, we each decided to show you some of our screens from the game so far. Because Giuseppe likes OD-ing, he has a ton more screens than I have. Plus, of course, we had a huge update yesterday (and, subsequently, some log-in issues with my character), which knocked down the time we had to take these. But hey, it’s something, right?

I started playing a Smuggler, which is the class I intend to play when the game goes live next month, so I started out on Ord Mantell helping the Republic handle their Separatist problem. These screens are taken with all graphical settings maxed out, but the beta client does not have anti-aliasing enabled at the moment.

You can check the full gallery below, and head here to see the Empire side, where Giuseppe posted his own screenshots. Do pick your side and vote on who won this “Battle on the screenshots” in the comments below. Empire or Republic? Light Side or Dark Side? You decide. May the Force be with you.
