Star Wars: The Old Republic’s New Expansion Announced; 87 Million Characters Created

During a panel at Star Wars Celebration Europe at the ExCeL London Exhibition Centre, Electronic Arts announced the next expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic, titledĀ Knights of the Eternal Throne.

The new expansion will come this fall, and was teased at the end of a new trailer, that you can check out below.

The trailer also reveals that 87 million characters have been created in the game, with a 47%/53% split between Republic and Empire. We also learn that players have amassed a cumulative 1.5 billion hours of gameplay in the MMORPG.
