Star Wars: The Old Republic’s Second Beta Weekend Approaches

on October 4, 2011 10:00 PM

Get your plastic lightsabers ready and put on the theme music, if you’ve been missing out on the Star Wars: The Old Republic beta until now, you may get your chance come this weekend. From October 7th through 11th BioWare and EA will be holding a pretty decent-sized beta weekend, inviting more to the beta than all the previous events combined.

These beta weekends for a larger crowd are actually separate from a constant, ongoing closed beta event, for those lucky enough to get into that. If you’ve signed up for the SW:TOR beta, keep an eye out on the e-mail you regestered your game out with, as you might be getting a pleasant surprise soon. If not, there will be plenty more opportunities before the game launches on December 20, 2011.

Also, as with all betas of this magnitude, please keep an eye out for unwarranted e-mails from those just trying to get your personal information. Like Blizzard has taken to recently, you can log into your SW:TOR account to see if the e-mail is legit. If it is, you’ll see the beta client available for download.
