In the most recent devblog update, developer Eric Barone has announced that Stardew Valley will not be a launch title for Nintendo Switch -- however, the game is slated for a 2017 release. Barone announced late in November that the Wii U version of Stardew Valley had been cancelled in favor of making a Nintendo Switch version.

Along with further details about Nintendo Switch, Barone hinted that they are currently investigating the possibility of porting Stardew Valley onto PlayStation Vita. This is a quick explanation about why Vita trophies appeared for Stardew Valley not too long ago.

Last but not least, Barone re-confirmed that Xbox One and PlayStation 4 patches for Stardew Valley will go live in early February, localization Beta testing on PC will also go live in early February, and multiplayer is still in active development.

Stardew Valley is currently available only on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with an incoming version on Nintendo Switch.
