Steam Removes Earth: Year 2066 from Early Access; Will Refund Players Until May 19th

Earth: Year 2066, an open world first-person post-apocalyptic game, has been removed from the Steam store. Those who pre-ordered the game will be offered a full refund from now until May 19th.

On their page, Valve has stated:

On Steam, developers make their own decisions about promotion, features, pricing and publication. However, Steam does require honesty from developers in the marketing of their games.

The game itself has had many complaints as being both incomplete and unplayable. Steam offers Early Access to developers to gain insight and feedback, but hasn’t been without controversy. The War Z was also removed under similar circumstances due to the developers listing false information on the Steam Profile page intentionally.
