SteamWorld Dig 2, the long-awaited sequel to Image & Form's 2013 hit title SteamWorld Dig, launches first on Nintendo Switch in two days, so the developers released a launch trailer for the game while also clarifying when exactly it will release on PC, Mac, and Linux before it hits PS4 and PS Vita next week.

The Nintendo Switch version of SteamWorld Dig 2 was revealed to be releasing on September 21 back during the August Nindies Presentation; subsequently, the PS4 and PS Vita were confirmed to be releasing on PS4 and PS Vita on September 26 in North America and September 27 in Europe. Now we can also confirm that the PC, Mac, and Linux versions of SteamWorld Dig 2 will be available this Friday, September 22.

Meanwhile, the game's newest trailer gives us a glimpse at many things. This includes giving us a look at many of the areas within SteamWorld Dig 2's Metroidvania world player will be exploring as Dorothy, and the new enemies and boss fights that are present within them. Meanwhile we also see some of the new upgrades Dorothy can use, and get a good first look at the game's UI, which seems to be as clean as ever.
