SteamWorld Heist’s Translation Update is Delayed; Image & Form Promises “New Surpries”

If you were hoping for a translation of indie-darling SteamWorld Heist, you may be waiting a little bit longer than expected. According to a recent blog post on developer Image & Form’s website, their January update bringing multiple translations (French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Russian) won’t be hitting that time slot. On the plus side, Image & Form assures its fans that the update will include some polish and “new surprises,” whatever that may be.

The update on the patch also comes with good news — Image & Form claim that SteamWorld Heist has been a success in comparison to their last hit, SteamWorld Dig. While they aren’t able to reveal any numbers, they boast that Heist is tied with Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate for highest rated Nintendo 3DS game of the year. SteamWorld Heist is currently only available on 3DS — the game is also coming to iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, and Xbox One sometime in 2016.
