A recent survey conducted by Intent Media, had a pretty interesting results for its “Top five people to have shaped video games”.

With over one thousand industry executives considered, the number one spot goes to Steve Jobs, with Gabe Newell and Shigeru Miyamoto right behind him. Tim Berners-Lee (inventor of the world wide web) and Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook) also made the list.

Apple wins again in the “Top five products to have shaped video games” with the iPhone grabbing frst place, the Wii, Xbox Live, the Playstation 1 and Steam following suit.

Apple did pretty much create a market almost from scratch and in such a small time frame, but giving him the top spot? Do you agree with the survey, or do you have other names in mind you wish had won?
