Original Street Fighter EX developer Arika impressed many at EVO with its still untitled spiritual successor of the EX franchise.

While the game still doesn’t have a name (apparently they can use their original Street Fighter EX character, but not the Street Fighter name, for obvious reasons) it definitely feels quite advanced already, and today we get to see a lot more.

To be more precise, Arika published over fifty minutes of raw gameplay, showing quite a few matches between the already announced characters.

Quite interestingly, we get to see one of the most peculiar features of the game, that lets you select a “deck” for your character, with a ton of abilities split between Juggernaut, Infinity, Aggro, Shinobi and Miracle. This is called the “Gougi” system, and basically lets you customize how your character will behave in battle rather deeply.

You can enjoy the video below, and if you want to see more, you can also enjoy a large gallery of screenshots, and the gameplay trailer showcased at EVO.

The game is a PS4 exclusive, and a beta will be held by the end of the year, with full release scheduled for 2018. Pre-orders for Japan will begin together with the beta, while schedule for the west will be announced at a later time.
