Street Fighter Producer Yoshinori Ono Temporarily Steps Down After Hospitilization

on March 29, 2012 8:30 PM

Yoshinori Ono, A.K.A. “Trollono”, best known as the producer of the Street Fighter series, was recently hospitilized after he began to feel extremely ill during/after a promotional event. The exact causes and details of his illness have yet to be disclosed, but whatever it is it’s pretty serious. So serious in fact that Ono will temporarily be abandoning his producer role, something he certainly wouldn’t be doing were he feeling his best.

He took to Twitter today to announce this news and confirmed that his temporary replacement would be revealed at a private event. He also says that he’ll use this time away to consider the future of the fighting genre. I hope he has some good ideas when he returns. Please keep Ono-san in your prayers! We’ll have more details as they become available.
