I'll be honest right up front. Other than the fact that they have some pretty sweet figures, I don't know what the point of the Heroclix toys are all about. I'm pretty sure there's a game in there somewhere, but my heart still belongs to Magic the Gathering and Pogs when it comes to collectible games of any kind. That said however, my ability to resist the temptation to buy Heroclix is possibly going to be disappearing soon with the upcoming release of figures from the Street Fighter series.
The first starter pack will feature Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Dhalsim, Blanka and Guile, eventually expanding into a larger line with over 21 figures. The starter kit will cost $19.99 with individual figures costing $2.99, and will be available this August. Check out more pictures after the break.
