Kite Games and Kalypso Media released yet another trailer for Sudden Strike 4 today, which actually showed off PS4 gameplay for the first time ever since the game's announcement last year.

Sudden Strike 4 is the first time a game in the series has appeared on a home console. The video gives a glimpse at the PS4 controls, which the developers hope are both streamlined enough for players to understand while still giving them the ability to pull off and issue detailed commands to their troops.

For those who aren't aware,  Sudden Strike 4 was announced last year, and is the newest entry in the Sudden Strike series, which had been dormant for some time, with the last release in the franchise happening in 2010, and last numbered entry being released in 2008. The developers are hoping this game is accessible to both series fans and newcomers to Sudden Strike. The game puts an emphasis on the importance of each unit, and features an optional pause and play system that really allows players to think about each action before they take it.

You can watch the trailer below. Sudden Strike 4 is releasing on PC August 11 and PS4 August 15 in North America. Those who pre-order the game for $49.99 on PC will get access to the game’s Closed Beta, an exclusive multiplayer map titled “The Battle for Kursk”, the game’s soundtrack, a digital download of the Sudden Strike 4 art book and the original Sudden Strike Trilogy.
