Sunday Shopper - Week of October 3rd

[Wondering what to play this week? Sunday Shopper is a weekly segment where we bring you information on games that have been reduced from their original price for this week only!]

As always, our Sunday Shopper will start off by reminding everyone about this past week’s Shock Value segment, where this week Chad gave us all the rundown on Valkyria Chronicles for the PS3.

Next, this weekend’s amazing deal is Team Fortress 2 for 50% off on Steam – only til Monday! Join in the festivities this weekend as Valve (and the rest of the gaming world) celebrates the release of a new TF2 update. But hurry, after Monday you’ll have to pay the full price of $19.99 again!

For those of you who are more strategy-inclined, Steam is also offering Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers (and all of its expansions and extra decks!) for 50% off! That means you can get just the base MtG game for $4.99, or the game plus the deck collection for $6.49. Or, if you’re like me and you wanna have the complete package, you can get the Duels of the Planeswalkers Complete Pack for %17.49, which includes the base game, all of the available expansions, and all of its extra decks. But hurry – Steam has not listed an end date to this sale, so it could be gone before you know it!

If you’re more of a console gamer, GameStop is offering some great deals for the week of October 1 – 7. First, Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions is $10.00 off for both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 versions, making it now $49.99 for each version.

Another great deal from GameStop: save $10.01 and $20.01, respectively, on the PSP and PS3 versions of ModNation Racers, making the games $19.98 for the handheld version or $39.98 for the PS3.

Get the deals while they’re hot! Because as always, the less you spend on these games, the more you can spend on all the others!
