Super Nintendo Virtual Console Games Coming to New Nintendo 3DS

If you are a New Nintendo 3DS owner, you are in luck! According to today’s Nintendo Direct, Super Nintendo games will now be stocked via the eShop’s Virtual Console. Unfortunately, ordinary Nintendo 3DS owners — i.e., those without the “New” version — are excluded from this feature.

The feature is available today, with Super Mario WorldF-Zero, and Pilotwings being the first few games available. Beginning March 24, 2016, players can grab Donkey Kong CountrySuper Mario Kart, and Earthbound. Then, on April 14, 2016, New Nintendo 3DS owners can grab The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the PastSuper Metroid, and Donkey Kong Country 2.
