Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS Getting Amiibo Support Tomorrow

on February 9, 2015 1:25 PM

With the launch of the New Nintendo 3DS XL system just days away, we’re due some details on when the Amiibo support for Super Smash Bros. will be rolling out.

An update adding the feature will be launched tomorrow, Nintendo has today confirmed. Currently this news is only relevant for fans purchasing New Nintendo 3DS systems since as we know the regular 3DS cannot interact with Amiibo sans an adapter that is so far only confirmed to release in Japan.

That means that so far we have Xenoblade Chronicles 3D and Super Smash Bros. as 3DS titles that implement the Amiibo figurines. I wonder how many more we’ll see this year.
