Superfrog HD Hopping Onto The PlayStation Network Tomorrow; Comes With Second Screen Features

on August 5, 2013 1:39 PM

Superfrog HD will not only be launching on the PlayStation Network tomorrow for PS3 and PS Vita, but according to Team 17, will also come with second-screen features when you use your PS Vita as a controller for the PS3 version.

These features will include secrets that can only be uncovered on your Vita screen, and portals that can take Superfrog from the PS3 screen to the Vita’s for hidden areas. Superfrog HD will also support Sony’s Cross Buy and Cross Save features, allowing players to buy the PS3 version to get the Vita version free (and vice-versa), and to save on one platform and continue on the other.

Superfrog HD will come with 24 reimagined levels based on the original designs, over six themed worlds: Magic Woods, Spooky House, A Day at the Circus, History Lesson, Ice Caverns, and Factory Failure, and will have a Level Editor for creative players, and an endless runner mode. Team 17 also say that fans of the original will find that the original 24 levels can be unlocked by winning a spin on the Fruit Machine.

For a closer look at the game, check out the screenshots below; Superfrog HD will be available tomorrow for $9.99, or for PlayStation Plus members, a 20% discount will drop it to $7.99.

Born and raised in video games and "geek culture," Masoud has been bred off of fantasy worlds his entire life and doesn't see anything wrong with that. He loves RPGs (especially TRPGs), sandbox games, the sci-fi genre, dieselpunk, art deco, and anything that allows him to create. Having graduated from John Jay College with a degree in English and a minor in Creative Writing, Masoud hopes to one day pen the same novels, comics, movies, and video games he enjoys escaping into when the real world gets too boring.
