Taiko no Tatsujin, or Taiko Drum Master, as we call it in the west, is certainly one of the most beloved rhythm game franchises in Japan, and it’s coming to PS4 soon.

The new game of the series, Taiko Drum Master: Session de Dodon ga Don! is going to release locally on October 26th.

The game comes with a metric ton of game modes that can be enjoyed with family, friends or your own, and even has a dedicated drum-shaped controller for PS4. A “mission bingo” will let you win “Don Koban” that will in turn unlock customization items for your Don-chan character.

Several popular guest characters like Doraemon, Hello Kitty, Pac Man, Hatsune Miku and more will also be included.

The game will be purchasable on its own if you wanna be lame and play with a normal DualShock 4, for 6,100 yen plus taxes, or in bundle with the drum controller for 9,980 yen plus taxes, for the cool kids.

Alongside the release date, we also get a trailer complete with super-smiling Japanese family and friends. You can check that out below, and wish this would come west like I do. I notoriously don’t have friends, after all.
