If you're not fully aware of the Disaster Report franchise, it is a disaster survival action/adventure franchise by Irem, which we haven't seen for quite some time. The first title came out on the PS2 back in 2003, and was actually released in North America. Since then, two more in the franchise have been released in Japan only. At the Tokyo Game Show a few weeks ago, the fourth game in the series was announced. Today we have a new video for the title, which actually looks pretty awesome.

This fourth title, Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories, mixes some pretty eye-popping yet stylistic visuals with some unusual music for an action/adventure title. The game tasks you with surviving inside a city that has, naturally, been the victim of some sort of disaster. You'll be able to fully customize your character, and make them either male or female (as shown in this short trailer). Not a whole lot is known about the game at this point, but we'll keep you updated. Let's hope this latest title ends up making its way to North American PS3s, instead of staying confined to Japan.
