Tales of Xillia 2, to be released on August 19 for PlayStation 3, has finally achieved its ESRB rating. Blood, mild language, suggestive themes, use of alcohol, and violence have earned the title a T (teen) rating. On the ESRB page, it describes Tales of Xillia 2 as "a role-playing game in which players control a group of characters as they save a fantasy world from destruction.

"Players engage in group battles using guns, swords, staffs, and magic attacks to kill human enemies and fantastical creatures. Combat is accompanied by cries of pain, impact sounds, and large explosions. A handful of cutscenes depict characters impaled by blades/spears. Blood is sometimes depicted around corpses and on characters' bodies and faces.

"During the course of the game, female characters wear outfits that reveal large amounts of cleavage. The dialogue also includes suggestive/sexual material. Characters sometimes discuss wine and drinking; one sequence depicts a character slurring his speech after tasting liquor samples."
