Remember Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball series? It's been quite a while since the release of Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 on Xbox 360, precisely a little over eight years, but the folks at Team Ninja didn't forget about it, as mentioned by Producer Yosuke Hayashi in an interview on Famitsu.

Hayashi-san mentioned that there are many in the staff who would like to make a current gen Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball. He also explained that the project could be considered if there's customer demand for the game to be made using the new Soft Engine, by gamers who like what the engine can display.

One thing is for sure: given the current atmosphere in the gaming industry, a new Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball would probably make a few heads implode, but after all Team Ninja doesn't seem to be phased by that with Dead or Alive 5 and its re-release Last Round, so what's not to love?
