Team Ninja head Yosuke Hayashi and Ninja Gaiden 3 director Fumihiko Yasuda took the opportunity to voice some of their opinions about the Wii U in a recent interview. They noted that they've been able to easily and effectively jump into development for the console because of its similarity to the Xbox 360 and PS3. This is supported by the fact that the team already has a game planned to launch beside the console; Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge.

They also pointed out that they utilized the touch screen on the Nintendo DS in their game Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword and would also fully utilize the hardware of the Wii U for Razor's Edge. They then elaborated on how cool they thought the screen on the Wii U's controller was, before dropping the most interesting detail of all: They've been exploring new platforms for Dead or Alive 5 and it definitely wouldn't be impossible to bring the upcoming fighter to the Wii U.

This is great news for fans of Nintendo's upcoming console. Hopefully, if a Wii U DOA 5 is developed, it will rival the PS3/Xbox 360 version, which is looking plain gorgeous. While such a game is surely ages away, Dead or Alive 5 will be available on PS3 and 360 later this year.
