Tekken X Street Fighter Hitting This Console Generation

on July 9, 2012 9:00 PM

Fighting fans may find themselves a bit worried about the illusive Tekken X Street Fighter. So little has been heard or seen of Namco’s crossover fighter that it wouldn’t be farfetched to assume that the game may end up on next-generation hardware. Could Tekken X Street Fighter wind up on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox 720? The answer is no, according to Namco.

Producer Katsuhiro Harada admits that although the game is nowhere near release, the amount of gamers playing on Xbox 360 and PS3 is too great to ignore. Therefore, the game will still be releasing in the current console generation. With the Wii U releasing later this year and the PlayStation 4 rumored to be releasing next year, the beginning of the next console generation is nearly upon us.

Let’s hope Tekken X Street Fighter doesn’t cut it too close.
