Temple Run 2 Launches on iOS Tonight

Console games aren’t the only ones churning out sequels these days, with even the most casual of titles getting in on the action. To the surprise of no one, 2011’s super successful Temple Run from Imangi Studios has a follow up in Temple Run 2, which is slated to land on the iOS App Store in the US, tonight.

Much of the core gameplay remains unchanged. So you’re still going to find yourself collecting coins, avoiding obstacles, and running away from apes. This time around the temple in which you run appear to be in the sky, with addtiional modes of transport such as zip lines and mine carts being thrown into the fray. And of course, there’s an even bigger ape chasing you around.

Keep in mind that tonight’s release is iOS only, and there’s still no word on when we’ll be seeing this one hit Android devices. If you’re interested on seeing some gameplay, check out the video below.
