Hironobu Sakaguchi's Terra Battle 2 has been recently announced by his studio Mistwalker Corporation, and today we get another glimpse on gameplay.

The video below is quite interesting, as it showcases (even if the footage is filmed from the screen and not direct feed) one of the most prominent features of the new game, the passage from the world map to the battle grid.

Once on the battle grid, combat goes majorly like it did in the first Terra Battle, with the player having to "sandwich" enemy units between friendly ones in order to attack.

You can check it out below, and see some more direct feed gameplay here, on top of the first trailer.

You can also enjoy our extensive coverage from Anime Expo, starting from an interview with Hironobu Sakaguchi himself. During a separate press panel, Sakaguchi-san also talked about his opinion on the Nintendo Switch, the (unlikely) possibility of his return to the Final Fantasy franchise, and shared more details on the console version of Terra Battle.

Terra Battle 2 will launch "hopefully" at the end of this summer for iOS, Android and PC.
