TGS 2010: PS3 Games in 3D and 3D Blu-ray Update Announced

The 3D Blu-ray update has been dated. On September 21, 2010, the 3.50 firmware update will become available, and it will allow 3D films to be watched in all of its eye-popping glory. I have a feeling 3D capable television sales will spike around this time.

It has also been announced that a short list of games will be 3D. I’m sure one of the titles below will catch each and every one of your attention.

  • Metal Gear Solid: Rising
  • Final Fantasy XIV
  • Everybody’s Golf 5
  • Sly Cooper Collection
  • MotorStorm Apocalypse
  • Killzone 3

Sony expects to have 20% of the 2011 PlayStation 3 library supporting 3D. Get all of your 3D glasses ready.

Working on the DualShockers staff as both an editor and community manager since late 2009, François is absolutely no stranger to the videogame industry. He is a graduate from the City College of New York, and has his Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Advertising. His next step is to obtain his Master's degree at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. Before starting his career, François has been gaming since the age of 2 with Super Mario World, and he has never looked back since. Gaming may be his profession, but it has always been his passion.
