That Dragon, Cancer Ends Kickstarter Campaign With Successful Funding

In March 2014, developer Ryan Green lost his son Joel to terminal cancer, and since that period began to develop the title That Dragon, Cancer as a way to provide a memorial for his five-year-old son, and to show a new light to those living and experiencing cancer – luckily, the title has ended its Kickstarter campaign successfully.

Following the game launching its Kickstarter campaign a month ago, the project for That Dragon, Cancer has successfully ended its campaign exceeding its fundraising goal, with the campaign ending its run at $104.491 against the game’s original needs of $85,000, as of last Friday, December 12th, 2014.

As a point-and-click adventure game showing the life of the Green family and their experiences with Joel’s cancer diagnosis, showing a gameplay experience that will be unique to its platforms but also highly thoughtful and emotional.

That Dragon, Cancer is currently in development for Ouya, PC, and Mac – you can check out the game’s Kickstarter campaign video below:
