The Apocalypse Begins in the Launch Trailer for Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture

Sony’s upcoming PS4 exclusive Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture has been in the works for over two-and-a-half years by developer The Chinese Room, and now with just over a week to go until the game’s release, the developer is giving viewers a more in-depth look at the end of the world as we know it in a new video.

A new post on the PlayStation Blog from The Chinese Room creative director Dan Pinchbeck released the official launch trailer for Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, giving us one more look at the game ahead of its release next week.

Previously known for their work on Dear Esther and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, The Chinese Room’s long-awaited Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture will explore life after a Rapture-like event takes place through several characters’ perspectives during (and after) the fallout of a massive apocalyptic event.

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture will release for PS4 on August 11th, 2015 – in the meantime, you can check out the game’s launch trailer below and get ready for the end of the world:
