The Banner Saga 2, sequel to the well-received 2014 tactical RPG, will not be releasing this year as originally expected. The game was announced earlier this year and shown off at Gamescom 2015, but publisher Versus Evil has come out and said that the game has now been delayed until an early 2016 release. The sequel is in development for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, but all versions may not launch simultaneously.
Additionally, the original The Banner Saga was planned for a port to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita this year as well, but no updates have been given on that front. Developer Stoic Games suggested that this port may have to wait until after the second game is released.
